The Handmade in Japan Festival (HMJ), which attracts 50,000 people, is one of the largest creators in Japan, where creators engaged in creative activities gather all over The Country to exhibit and sell original works. This event supports creators who are passionate about manufacturing by disseminating the creativity unique to Japan with the accuracy of handmade to the domestic and international as a creative culture “HandMade In Japan” from Japan.

Since 2013, Creema has been holding the event once a year at Tokyo Big Sight, but in response to the voices of many creators and visitors, winter has also been held since 2019. HMJ, which can enjoy different charms every season, was well received, but in response to the Olympics and corona disasters, we have foreordinated the implementation after the summer of 2020. This will be the 10th time in two years.

In the venue, there is a market where creators active in various parts of the country exhibit and sell original works such as fashion items such as accessories and bags to interiors, kitchens, art, vessels, handicrafts, etc., and “Creator area”where you can experience the manufacturing of traditional craftsmen and popular creators, It is divided into “Music & Play Area” where live stages by talented musicians are developed, and “Food & Cafe Area” where selected handmade food from all over Japan gathers, and it will be a space where you can experience creativity with your five senses through experiences that can only be experienced here.

  • The theme of this event, which will be held for the first time in two years, is “New Days!”

HMJ’s theme this time is “New Days!”, which marks its 10th anniversary. This event, which will be held at the start of 2022, is also a new start for HMJ for the first time in two years. Exhibitors and visitors… I wanted to be able to become an opportunity for all the people who gather here to ‘start a new day’. With the feeling of two years that we were unable to hold the event, we will do our best to make it a more creative and energetic day than ever before.
* Details of the theme-based plans and exhibitions will be announced later.
