Concluded a partnership agreement with Taito-ku, Tokyo that utilizes local resources

Club Tourism Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Hiroshi Sakai, hereinafter “Club Tourism”) signed a partnership agreement in the field of tourism on November 1, 2021 with Taito Ward, Tokyo (Taito Ward: Yukio Hattori, hereinafter Taito Ward).
The purpose of this agreement is to promote collaborative activities with Taito City that effectively utilize mutual human, physical, and intellectual resources, thereby revitalizing the region by promoting tourism utilizing local resources, supporting tourism-related businesses by expanding tourism consumption, and developing human resources in tourism-related industries, leading to sustainable development. we are promoting the utilization of human resources in both sides. The reason for the conclusion of this agreement is that the knowledge gained from the “theme trip” (*) that we have been working on for more than 20 years will be utilized to promote tourism in the region. The main details of collaboration and cooperation and specific initiatives are as follows.

■Specific initiatives based on the Partnership Agreement
(1) Tourism promotion utilizing local resources

Our company is strong in cultural theme travel such as history, temples and shrines, gastronomy, art, town planning, photography, etc., and the scale of history-related tours accompanied by lecturers centered on the travel brand “Journey to History” is the largest in Japan.
Under this agreement, we will develop travel products and traditional cultural experience plans on the theme of history and culture including Edo, centering on the rich cultural resources of the Taito Ward region, and promote tourism promotion.
Prior to the agreement, we have planned and started selling travel products for (1) < photography journeys > “Rediscover the history, culture> <, and traditions of Taito-ku!

(2) Support for tourism-related businesses by expanding tourism consumption
We will strengthen cooperation not only with tourism operators in Taito City but also with related businesses that are cooperating with our company, and promote and expand the development and distribution of travel products aimed at preserving and passing on the history, culture, and traditions that inhabit the city.
Examples include the use of tourism resources that symbolize the same ward, such as “rakugo” and “houseboats”, and travel products linked to businesses in the ward in areas other than conventional tourist centers such as Kuramae and Oku-Asakusa.

(3) Matters related to human resource development in tourism-related industries
We will also focus on human resource development that will lead tourism promotion in taito ward, with a view to effective use of our company and taito city resident customers, such as discovering tourism materials, monitoring personnel for travel products, and guide personnel.

(4) Matters related to city branding
We will strengthen the city branding that the ward has nurtured through travel products, such as “traditional culture that continues from Edo”, “industrial town” such as leather industry and traditional crafts, and “town of entertainment” such as rakugo and kabuki.

(5) Matters related to the development of Civic Pride through tourism
Taito Ward is a diverse area where you can feel the downtown atmosphere and enjoy culture, art, and history closely. As part of the creation of sustainable tourist destinations, we will build good relationships between the region, tourists, and new residents, and promote the creation of a community where “live and visit” and the cultivation of Civic Pride through tourism.
In the future, we will use this initiative to improve our inbound acceptance system.
